Y10 Netballers Kick-Off Their Season!
The Y10 Netball Team started their Netball season last night, with the 1st round of the Central Venue Netball League, held at Nottingham Emmanuel School.
We entered more confident than last year, having begun our first year of Team Training on a Thursday evening, but being still quite new to match experience, the tournament was still a difficult obstacle.
After playing 'hot potato' for our first game, we struggled to play out own game and put in all of our strategies and tactics in to practice, for the following 3 games. A calmer moment allowed us to score a well-deserved goal against Emmanuel School, but we were still panicking and rushing, which prevented us from a better set of results.
The girls battled well throughout the games with notable defensive highlights from Grace Arnell and Emily Clarkson-Webb. We were also true to our school motto by being the most kind school at the end of our games, as our '3 cheers' were by far the loudest!
Here's hoping we can learn from our blips, for our next round!
