Year 7 portraits
Year 7 have just finished their project in identity and emotion. Pupils expanded their skills learning to apply the rules of facial proportion and now understand how to change a facial expression to evoke an emotion and used colour to make the emotion stronger. They explored various different artists such as Julian Opie, Chris Offili, Kathe Kollwitz and Florian Nicole. Pupils also learned new techniques and used a variety of materials such as mono print on calico, textured prints, applying tone with soft pencils and also painting with both watercolours and poster paint.
