Hello, Parents and Carers!
It has been great to see our students return to school this week. They have returned looking refreshed and ready for the half term ahead.
It is a busy week next week, what with Armistice Day on Monday, Anti-Bullying Awareness week and Children in Need on Friday. Our Student Leaders are working hard to raise awareness of these events (see the bulletin notices below).
We hope you have a peaceful weekend and find the following information useful.
Very best wishes,
Joel Tomasevic - Senior Leader for Communications and Parent Involvement

Several NFS Girl’s Football teams have started the year off in inspired form. They’ve exemplified resilience and ambition and as a department, we are incredibly proud of their achievements.
U13 Girls – Nottingham City Champions
- For the second year running, a selection of Y7, Y8 and Y9 students competed excellently over a 2-week period to convincingly defeat Nottingham’s other city schools. The team were strong, together and driven in their pursuit of excellence and their character is as impressive as their talent.
U15 Girls – National Cup Rd 2 Winners
- Competing in a national cup is a daunting prospect but a selection Y9 and Y10 students took the long journey to Stamford to compete in the 2nd round of the tournament. The team competed well and in a closely fought contest, emerged 3-0 victors. Every win at this level should be celebrated and considered a massive success. What a team and what a group of students. Well done to all involved.
Mr Goddard
- A reminder that children are welcome to come to the NFS breakfast club, 7:45am-8:10am (Mon-Fri)
- Toast and water are available for students, if breakfast is a challenge to organise before leaving the house.
