A reminder that culture day on Friday 19 July. The day will include dressing in clothing that represents your child’s cultural identity. This could include nationality, music, arts and sports interests. We will be asking pupils to make a voluntary contribution of £1 to charity. The students have decided on splitting proceeds between a local charity - Hayward House Hospice appeal and a national charity- Doctors without borders.

There will be face painting and Mehndi patterns, as well as an ice-cream van at school, so your child may want to bring a small amount of money on the day. If your child would like a Mehndi pattern with henna then they will also need a permission slip signed by a parent or carer. The letters for the Mehndi can be obtained from your child's tutor. The money raised from face painting and mehndi will be donated to the above charities. Students in receipt of FSM will be entitled to a free ice-cream and will receive a token for this from their tutor on the day.

At the moment the weather is looking dry and sunny so we are hoping we can enjoy culture day on the field, should the weather turn then we will put a wet weather plan in place.

Mrs P Barrett - Careers Coordinator

We are kindly asking for parents and carers to work with us, to make drop-off and pick-up times safer for our community. Please note:

  • Robin Hood Gymnastics Club have received a number of complaints from members and neighbours regarding the misuse of parking spaces, during NFS drop-off and pick-up times by parents and carers.
  • Many parent/carer vehicles are being parked very awkwardly and unsafely, obstructing traffic flow.
  • Some parents are exiting the one-way system incorrectly, posing risks to pedestrians (particularly the young children who walk to our club with their parents)

Please can all relevant parents and carers:

  • Use Haydn Road parking spaces near the front our school, or consider parking further down Haydn Road.
  • Do not use Robin Hood Gymnastics Club car park, which is dedicated for its business operations only.

As ever, we are sincerely grateful for your help with this important health and safety issue.
