Weekly Parent BulletinWEEK OF 14 OCTOBER (WEEK A)

~ 14th October 2024 ~

Hello, Parents and Carers!

With only two school weeks left until the half-term break, we are incredibly proud of our students who continue to work hard in lessons and show kindness in our community.

Huge thanks to all the parents and carers in Year 11 that engaged with our Sixth Form Open Evening and Year 11 GCSE Information Evening last week. We hope you found these events useful and inspiring.

A reminder from Mrs Barrett (Careers Lead) for Year 11 parents to begin attending  post-16 open days this half term.  Go to college websites and sixth form websites to book a place.

We hope you have had a peaceful weekend.

Very best wishes,

Joel Tomasevic - Senior Leader for Communications and Parent Involvement

  • Students Leader ran a bake sale at break-time, which raised over £150 (thanks to families that donated cakes and biscuits)
  • The Girls Get Active team led a 'Just Dance' session during key stage 3 lunchtime.  A massive 80 students took part in this dance challenge, 66 boys took part in a table tennis competition at lunchtime

  • Special thanks to those parents who kindly donated clothes and we will be taking these donations to the MIND charity shop in Sherwood next week.

  • A reminder that children are welcome to come to the NFS breakfast club, 7:45am-8:10am (Mon-Fri)
  • Toast and water are available for students, if breakfast is a challenge to organise before leaving the house.
