Weekly Parent BulletinWeek of 20 January 2025 (WEEK A TIMETABLE)

~ 20th January 2025 ~

Dear Parents and Carers,

Hot food services have been resumed! Thanks so much for the patience shown by all those families affected by our kitchen issue last week. Our Head Chef, Yanni, put fish and chips on Monday's menu, to celebrate the return of hot food. It certainly had a positive effect on the mood in the canteen!

Another super busy week at NFS, with extracurricular lunchtime clubs starting, a year 10 Drama trip to see Blood Brothers, Year9/10 girls' football success and the usual 153 lessons delivered.

A request from the NFS Student Leaders: They are looking to put 'student suggestion boxes' in every tutor room, to allow for more student voice! If you have any shoe boxes at home that you no longer need, we would very much appreciate any donations. All boxes can be dropped off at main reception or Mr Tomasevic's office.

I hope this week's notices are informative and useful for you.

Very best wishes,

Joel Tomasevic - Senior Leader for Communications and Parent Involvement

The workshop will cover several key topics to help parents address the challenges of online safety, including:

  • How Algorithms Work and Create Echo Chambers
  • How Groomers and Radicalisers Exploit the Internet
  • Case Studies of Grooming and Radicalisation Online
