Masks and Carnivals
Year 7 have been learning about the Notting Hill Carnival that takes part every year in London on the August bank holiday. They have been learning about its roots dating back to the abolition of slavery and the meanings behind the original costumes. They have then been creating their own masks in response to what they have learned!
