Young Literature Ambassador
This half term Danica Bowles, sixth form student and Nottingham Free School's Young Literature Ambassador, had the opportunity to experience working as a judge for a creative writing competition. Launched as part of UNESCO’s City of Literature, the MyVoice creative writing competition was a unique opportunity for pupils from schools around Nottingham and Nottinghamshire to write about how they view the world as young people today. The competition had 200 entries in total and our very own Danica was part of the judging panel. Held at the Broadway Cinema on Thursday 30 January, Danica took part in shortlisting and judging the stories across the age range. She said it was “a fantastic opportunity and something she was very proud to be a part of”.
