According to the BBC "a cold snap brought heavy rain, floods and a tornado to the Balearic islands and Spain's north-eastern coast, with Valencia and Alicante most affected."
Back in school, we are back with zing and working hard. A HUGE congratulations to all of the Spanish GCSE students who got their amazing results in August; we are so proud of every single one of you!
It is fantastic to welcome Mr Payan, a native Spanish speaker to the department and hear more Spanish spoken around the corridors at NFS.
Our Year 12 Spanish students are working hard also, getting to grips with watching the Spanish film, Volver and tackling some interesting topics regarding social and moral issues.
We would recommend to everyone studying Spanish that they watch Spanish TV series with English subtitles or listen to some Spanish radio online - great for bringing Spanish to life and understanding the relevance of learning this widely spoken language.
