Year 10 netballers make us proud!
I had another 'proud moments as a PE Teacher' to add to my list, when I took the Year 10 Netball Team to their Central Venue tournament, at Emmanuel school, last night.
These girls have transformed in to wonderful Netballers through their commitment to Netball Team Enrichment this year and I was absolutely beaming with pride after watching their first of 4 games.
The defence has tightened, the shooters were split landing and stepping shooting, the centre passes were accurate and fluent and our ability to get free from opponents to receive passes or make interceptions were nothing short of jaw-dropping, in comparison to the team I picked-up last September. The girls finally looked like they belonged on the court and weren't afraid to take-on whatever was thrown at them - including the High School and West Bridgford!
I am so proud of the following girls and if we continue to develop the way that we have....the rest of the County had better watch-out!
- Grace Arnell
- Emily Clarkson-Webb
- Molly Doran
- Millie Oakley
- Gabby Pennant
- Sophie Hayes
- Sophie Noseley
- Sophie Wyeld
- Zena Lysenko
- Larysa Hayes
- Shannon Birkett
