Remembrance lessons

This week and last week, all year groups have been learning about why we honour the eleventh of November, pupils have taken part in a range of activities, learning about when remembrance day started, what it means today and taking time to remember those who have sacrificed their lives for this country. The whole school took part in a minute's silence on Monday the eleventh. Pupils have been looking at war poetry and designing their own poppies in lessons to honour people and animals who lost their lives in the wars as well as terrorist attacks. Some of the new poppy designs contained messages of gratitude of things that students are thankful for today.
