Why do A Level?
You should choose A Level PE if you love sport and want to find out its intricacies, relationships with the world and how it has and continues to evolve.
There are many different course and career paths. Mr Coppack has created a 'Sport After School' notice board, in PE, where students can see the many varied opportunities that studying PE can lead to. Do not be fooled in to thinking that PE leads nowhere - this is not true!
Look at this brief handout and decide if you think A Level PE is for you. If you have any questions or you are unsure, please talk to Mrs Singleton-Jones who can guide you further.
The Practical Part
It's really important that you are committed to improving your practical score in your own time (i.e join clubs, play for school, work on your fitness) as you are not guaranteed any extra practical in lessons.
For this reason we recommend that you only choose A Level PE if you play for, or belong to a club outside of school.
